Why use German chamomile essential oil?

German chamomile essential oil, also called matricaria, is a very effective anti-inflammatory thanks to the chamazulene it contains. It is particularly ideal for calming certain dental and muscular pains. Painkiller and antispasmodic, it is very useful in cases of period-related pain. German chamomile essential oil has more pronounced hormonal effects than those of Roman chamomile. On the other hand, it is better tolerated by the skin for prolonged use. Both have very different compositions, which explains their quite distinct properties and uses. Do not confuse them with tansy (Tanacetum annuum), the latter does not have the same properties.
