Our pharmacist's opinion
Why use wintergreen essential oil?
The essential essential oil for muscle, joint and tendon pain. This essential oil has a rather particular composition. Compared to the majority of other essential oils which contain numerous aromatic compounds, wintergreen essential oil is composed of more than 99% of a single active ingredient: methyl salicylate. It is methyl salicylate, derived from the aspirin that we know, which has these anti-inflammatory, analgesic and febrifuge properties that are so effective. Its characteristic, camphorous odor is quickly recognized because many pharmaceutical products and care balms used by athletes contain methyl salicylate. Please note, wintergreen essential oil must be purchased from a recognized professional, to avoid any risk of adding synthetic methyl salicylate to the essential oil.How to properly use wintergreen essential oil?
